The inhabitants of Buenos Aires 31 cities drink water with high arsenic levels, according to a study by the National University of La Plata and disseminated by the agency Team. Among those affected are the villages of General Villegas.
The districts affected are General Alvarado, Florentine Meghan, Leander N. Alum, General Adrenals, Rojas, Salt, Jinni, Alberta, July 9, Abrader, Torques, Spinach, Navarro, Mercedes, Bravado, San Vicente, Branson, Chancrous, Manipur, Tamaqua, General Alvarado, Tress Arroyos, Adieux, General Lama rid , Rivadavia, Pellegrino, Adolfo Asian, Pan, Saver, Dunes and Carmen de Paragons.
University scientists in those games conducted a study found that drinking water consumed by the population has levels of arsenic contamination than those tolerated, with risks to health. In some of these districts is arsenic found 200 parts per billion (PPB) where national standards tolerate a maximum of 50 ppb, and international, of 10 PPB.
The study, authored by Maria José Gonzalez, Vicente Baronet, Isadora and Irma Schalamuk Bottom, was introduced in the Argentine Geological Congress.
