Farinas were admitted on March 11 in the intensive care unit of Hospital Universitario Renaldo Malian Castro, in the city of Santa Clara. For more than 120 days initiated a voluntary fast which puts their lives at risk today.

The patient is receiving amino acids that form proteins throughout the body needs, also provides lipids, vitamins and minerals, “anything that requires a balanced diet for any human being,” said the physician and he said: “To this end Farina arrived at our room with 63 kilos of weight and is currently ranging between 67 and 69 kilos.
