One of the great benefits that exist with the internet is the large amount of information that users have access from online encyclopedias, images and music, to more recently the publication of confidential information the U.S. government. All or almost everything is there on the net.
This along with graphics of health information that was recently published by inspectors and Blue Eye Project, and which by the way they share with a Spanish translation, gave rise to this post. It makes an interesting breakdown of user behavior regarding searching for information and content on health, welfare, medical conditions and treatments. Some facts are
one. 61% of adults go to the online world to find health information.
2. 42% claims to know or have someone in your family has been helped by following medical advice found on the Internet.
3. 77% of newly diagnosed, they go first to online sources.
4. 17% of cell phone users, using this device to search specifically for health and medical information.
5. 60% of online patients would like information about medical conditions or illnesses through social media and 38% are interested in starting a dialogue about health care, through this medium.
