There is good news for young professionals who decide to choose nurses for his or her career. Currently the higher demand for nursing service has not met with the supply globally. It is reported by Sigma Theta Tau International, a Nursing Honor Society that countries such as Canada, Australia, Western Europe and Philippines have significant shortage of nursing service. The shortage of nursing staff also happens in Africa and South America.
In UK, the rapid expansion on National Health Service has open nurses jobs opportunities in a progressive growth. The job growth is about 20% from 2002 until now 2010, and it is forecasted to continue until 2012. The strategy to fulfill the high demand of nursing service in UK is by opening the jobs for foreigners. The working visa application therefore is quite easy for approval for nurses jobs. Of course the visa application should be completed with sponsor from the hiring hospital.
Another good news for UK nurses are the salary is around £17,000 for nurses jobs in starting level and up to £30,000 for the most senior level. The higher demand for nursing service includes Adult (general) nursing, or specialist nursing such as: children’ nursing, learning disabilities nursing, and mental health nursing. It means that in UK the endless job opportunities is calling health care professional to start their promising career in London and other cities in UK.
